China's auto companies JAC bike this weekend stating plans to disburse 500 million dollars to build a plant in the state of Bahia, Brazil. Vehicle manufacturer is the first overseas factory for JAC.
As quoted by AFP, the plant would begin operating in 2014 with a production capacity of 100 thousand units / year. Jianghuai Automobile Co.. suggests there are 3500 new jobs at the factory they are represented by Brazil itu.Di SHC Group.
The Brazilian government recently raised taxes of entry for imported vehicles that do not reach 65 percent of its components made in Brazil or the member countries of Mercosur (the association of South American countries).
The move was aimed at reducing the flow of vehicles from China to Brazil which is the 4th largest market in the world. JAC should pay more taxes to operate their plants in Brazil.
JAC follow in the footsteps of General Motors, Volkswagen, Fiat and Ford are building factories in the country. Last week Nissan also revealed plans to build a 1.5 billion dollar factory in Brazil while Renault will add to the facilities at the Brazil plant funding 265 million dollars.
